“FAR” (2022)

synopsis: FAR is an experimental animated film about miscarriage. The short film shows the struggle and the fight with the own body and the difficulty to say goodbye to the unborn child. "far" explores the sensation of inner moving while standing still. For me, "far" is like a silent monologue that allowed me to express what I experienced.

One in seven pregnancies worldwide end in miscarriage. But although so many women are affected, miscarriages are hardly discussed in private or public spaces. The shame that the own body has failed is too big. The grief is too deep and difficult to communicate. With the short film, I would like to approach the sensitive problem and to share my very personal experience.
